Just a short post today since I’m in the middle of putting the finishing touches to two product launches and boy is it hard work!
It’s bad enough doing one launch, but to do two simultaneously is damn right mad. I must have lost my marbles!
Anyway, the point I’m getting at is that Internet marketing is hard work and definitely not get rich quick. Not only do you have to learn your craft while not trying to purchase the gazillion offers that drop into your inbox. You’ve also got to coordinate with freelancers in other countries, graphic designers that think they’re always right and software that doesn’t always want to play ball.
I truly believe that if you stick at and become resilient in your quest it’s possible to at least give up the day job.
Since these are going to be my first product launches I’m making sure every box is ticked and that I haven’t left anything out (not easy). I suppose the best bet is to give them a dry run which i intend to do in the following weeks.
I tell you what though. I’m loving every part of the process which I think is important in whatever venture you embark on.
I’ll keep you posted on my progress, and feel free to let me know how you’re getting on with your products and the troubles you’ve faced so far.
Good luck.

Hey Des,
As you are a regular reader of my Blog, I thought I would return the fava – as I came across your eBay Shop while looking for JV patrners!
Some good points you make – let me know if you need any help RE: listbuilding – are you building a list, it is just that I could’nt see one on your eBay Shop or site?

Hi Des,
I found your blog from your ‘ME’ page on eBay.
At the moment I am creating my very first own product, and you are right it is hard. The most difficult thing I find is not giving in to distraction. You know the things I mean, them emails, not giving in to your mates wanting you to go out for a beer on a Friday night after work.
By the way, I am in Peterborough UK also.
Regards,
Marc.

@ Ray Johnson, Thanks for taking a look at my blog. List building is what I’m working on at the moment and should be ready in the next couple of weeks. You know what it’s like. All the pieces of the puzzle need to be in place before I can start receiving and directing my list. Thanks for the offer and I’m sure we’ll do some JV’s together. In fact I know we will since we seem to see things in a similar light.
@ Marc Sampson, Thanks for your comments Marc. I think I wrote a comment on your blog a few months back about being in P’boro too! Again, once you’ve produced your product let me know and I’ll promote, and I’m sure you’ll want to promote mine once they’re done.
I find that I have to completely shut myself off when working on projects and only check my ebay messages often.
Regards,
