I haven’t posted anything on here recently. My apologies. I’ve been busy behind the scenes putting my eBay and Internet marketing business at the forefront of my business. I’ve mentioned in previous posts and ebooks that I’ve written that I started to take this business a lot more seriously when it started to outstrip the earnings from my offline cleaning business (I was gobsmacked) and yep it got my attention.
Wake Up Call
So many people (and I was no different) play around with eBay selling and Internet marketing without making a dedicated effort to try and make it work. I truly believe that what you put in you get out. This was basically my wake up call at the turn of the year.

What Am I Doing Differently?
I’ve started to analyse every aspect of business from the customer service issues to delivery times and decided to out source all of the jobs I hate doing so that I can concentrate on the jobs I love (which is writing).
If you’re interested in eBay selling or Internet marketing, i suppose you need to ask yourself a question
“Do I Really Want This To Work”
If you do, it’s gonna take a lot of work and a lot of sleepless nights to have a well tuned, highly efficient business. I’m nowhere near where I need to be and I suppose I’m quite fortunate to be able to spend quite a lot of hours on the business. It’s not come easy and don’t believe the hype, it’s gonna take some serious work.
Be Prepared
Be prepared to stay up, do your research and work out a plan of action for your business, cause if you don’t you never will.
I recently read an ebook and video course by Caroline Middlebrook (who I’ve got a lot of time for) about Stumbleupon called Stumblerush. If you’ve never heard of Caroline before, Caroline basically quit her day job in order to follow her dreams of becoming an Internet entrepreneur. Now what inspired me, wasn’t the actual contents of the course (which was fantastic I might say), it was the writing style and the down to earth approach. Caroline is also an inspiration of somebody that sat down one day, constructed a plan and has now put it into action. I must admit, I’m not one for following all of those big name gurus, it’s people like Caroline that give true inspiration and have given me the inspiration to really push myself in the business!
I decided a few months back that I needed and wanted to be a powerseller on ebay. I studied the criteria and anaylsed what I needed to do and broke it down into lots of bite sized chunks. I’ve concluded that to be successful on eBay needs excellent customer service, attention to detail, super fast delivery and a well packaged item. You’ve probably heard all of this before, but trust me it works. I’m not saying I’m the best out there, I’m just saying that this methodology works a treat and I intend applying the same practice to all elements of my business.
I’ve also started to interact more with my clients. By interacting I mean responding to comments left and finding out what they thought about the product. Basically a human being behind the ebay id. What’s happended are the comments are a lot more detailed and are true to what people actually think. This type of PR is huge.
In my last message to my client I also ask them if everything was Ok? and if it’s not to contact me asap. Seems to be working (I’ll probably get a lot of negative feedback after this post
Are you struggling to get things going and just need that kick up the backside to get things going. your comments are always welcome.
